Have a spare 44 minutes? Check out what I said in San Francisco nearly a month ago. (There are moments, brief moments, which are not safe for work. You should not have a spare 44 minutes at work though.)

I'm just barely starting to lose my voice in this presentation. You can hear it crack a few times.

Oh Emma, There are many of

Oh Emma,

There are many of us out there. I started sewing and crafting at the age of nine at the local park district. I worked as a metal machinist to put myself thru school for my BS in computer Science which I completed in 1989. Employeed as a software engineer in four different countries to date, I have always had the women's bathroom to myself. At this time in my life I have no idea how it is to work or communicate with other women because I usually have more in common with their husbands and boyfriends. How did I get thru it? Never never try to be one of the guys. We are better than that. Success with open source.

Greetings Emmajane from another linux-using, code-writing, public-speaking, craft-loving middle-name-Jane girl! I found your link from CraftZine but I have no idea how I haven't come across you before. I am delighted to 'meet' you :)
